While I don't typically like fried whitefish the whitefish at @eastjohnsonfam might have just changed that opinion. Their salty cracker crust worked perfectly with the thin fillets and kept the fish 100% grease-free. The house-cut fries were superb, the slaw was fresh and delicious, and the rye was soft and inviting. The only misstep (for my tastes) was the overtly lemony tartar, but I'm sure other like it just fine...just not my cup of tea. Overall, this was a clean and satisfying Fish Fry and worked pretty damn well with a side of @hammsbeer.
