Comment: It’s literally been 15 years since our last visit to the Old Feed Mill in Mazomanie (which seems just ridiculous). The historic restaurant is housed in an incredibly cool, lovingly maintained old building, and they have a very solid Friday Night Fish Fry. The special features two fat chunks of Icelandic Cod in a well-seasoned herby batter, a small handful of lightly fried fries, thick and tasty tartar, and a cup of oddly warm coleslaw. A loaf of homemade rye came beforehand for all to share and was easily a highlight of the meal. I can’t say exactly why it took us a decade and a half to return to the Mill but I can tell you we won’t go that long again.
