Overall, I would recommend this Fish Fry.

Comment: It was a bit of an odd night at the Mt. Vernon Tap, but a decent Fish Fry nonetheless. The place was pretty busy and there was only one waitress servicing the whole dining room while we were there so everything was a little slow.
The 3-piece beer battered cod looked really good, and the batter had a nice flavor, but it had softened a little which is an indicator it sat for a bit before it hit our table.
The cowboy potatoes were elite with my old complaint being that there weren’t more of them to enjoy. The tartar was plentiful and bolstered the slick fish quite a bit, the slaw was a nice rendition, and the dinner roll was just a basic bun.
Overall, this was a pretty good Fish Fry which I suspect could be an excellent Fish Fry under the right circumstances.
