Comment: “Chicago’s Finest Fish & Chips” certainly wasn’t as good as Wisconsin’s finest Fish Frys, but it was pretty good nonetheless. The Icelandic Cod was one fat flaky fillet sheathed in an incredibly crunchy batter with a bold flavor. It was surprisingly in balance and paired well with the thin and dilly tartar. The fries were standard, but well-fried, the slaw was fresh and crunchy, but kind of dry, and my grilled lemon went unused, but looked nice. There was actually a lot to like about this fish and The Dearborn in general. While I couldn’t tell you if it’s Chicago’s finest fish, I can guarantee you it’s far from Chicago’s worst.
