Comment: We were back in Chicagoland on a Friday night and since I liked the place so much last time (and it was even closer to our hotel this time) we went back to JT’s Porch for fish.
This one was basically a carbon copy of our previous visit - a flaky inoffensive cod with a light and crumbly breading and little grease, a boatload of shoestring style fries, a thin yet tasty tartar, some truly tantalizing hush puppies, and a basic slaw. All in all, very good for south of the border and more than worth our revisit.
Overall, we’d still recommend this Fish Fry and JT’s in general. Fun bar, good food, and playoff hockey on the tube…almost as good as places back home. Almost…jtsporch.com/
